Reflecting on Fashion Revolution Week

If you think about it … it takes a lot of people with a huge range of skills to make your clothes.

There’s the people who grow the raw materials;

There’s the people who turn those raw materials into yarn;

There’s the people who turn the yarn into fabric;

There’s the people who design and create the styles (they tend to be the ones we think about most and yet they play only a one part of the overall process);

And finally there’s the people who sew and make your clothes.

All this happens on a small scale, a large scale and everything in between.

So for that much effort isn’t it worth buying clothing that is made to last and respects the roles played by all the people in the process?

We all have a role to play on the journey towards sustainability!
